Bruce Springsteen Light of Day Concert
Yeah, so I went to the Light of Day last night, not even expecting Bruce. I really only went because the lineup was good…John Eddie, Willie Nile, Southside Johnny, etc.
So first Bruce came out to play with Garland Jeffrey and the crowd went crazy. He later came out to play another song with Willie Nile, which was also great.
Nearing the end (show was supposed to end at 12:30), after Southside Johnny and the Poor Fools, the curtains went up and Bruce was standing there alone with an acoustic guitar and did Incident on 57th Street.
He then went away again and Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers did a song of there’s.
After, Bruce came out again, and with Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers did Darkness on the Edge of Town.
Bruce then continued to stay on stage for 2 more hours, playing 16 songs in total including Adam Raised a Cain, Save My Love, Atlantic City, Johnny 99, Because the Night, Waiting on a Sunny Day, Light of Day, The Promised Land, and Twist and Shout, the last 4 or so with almost everyone from the rest of the show.
Max Weinberg also came out during Light of Day to play that song and the rest of the show.
Then came the last song, led by Bruce with an acoustic guitar, a harmonica, Bob Benjamin, the founder of Light of Day, and the crowd singing along, Thunder Road
A great night and unbelievable surprise…best 45 dollars I have ever spent
